Synopsis: This is a science documentary produced by BBC, displaying the strange world of fungus kingdom during spring. About the way they grow and behave (mushrooms) and how it permeates our world, how it powerfully affects the whole plant sphere.
Rise of the Warrior Apes'Eyes' (Rescore)

This is a documentary from the BBC about chimpanzees. This paragraph as a whole is more delicate and gentle than pre titles, music need to avoid interfere narrative, and inadvertently guide the audience, I use respectively in the instrument of choice for high frequency synthesizer (for prompting the end nodes such as film orangutan found abnormal alert) and low frequency synthesizer( to complement the overall atmosphere ), And cotton piano (on the one hand, to avoid the percussion of realistic piano, on the other hand, the tone is full of meditation and lyricism). I also used Duduk to express the subtle eye contact between the princess orangutan and the researcher/camera.
The Pre Titles’ rhythm is from secret and tentative to intense pursuit, I use the synthesizer of dark tone color in the former part, and a small amount of string sustain and pizzicato to foil atmosphere, with hands plate drum’s disperse beats to express the shot of gorilla found target (this timbre is very matching to jungle scene), I use some subtle call phrase to show eye communication, On the whole, the former part has obvious melodic characteristics. In the latter part, I mainly used the fast rhythm of jungle drum to show the running state of the orangutans, and quickly movement of the violin gives more tension, and continued to use subtle calls to show the tacit cooperation between them.
Bridgeton (Competition )

This clip is from the TV play series Bridgeton, from Spitfire's 2022 Film Score .The princess is at risk of scandal as she encounters difficulties in preparing for her marriage. I took it out of the context of the original TV show and made it a separate piece. The overall musical atmosphere I created was court style and comedy, i tried to imitate the music of the Baroque period to set off the magnificent and luxurious palace scene in the whole film.
Diving Spider
This Piece is from BBC. The diving spider is a rare and mysterious species that lives and builds its own moving house in the water. It has a flexible and unique way of life. The music was recorded in the Victoria Room, Bristol. In this film, most of the action took place in the water environment, so I tried to create a flowing, wandering dreamlike atmosphere. In terms of the characteristics of the underwater spider,because it is a solitary animal, loneliness and cold are also its characteristics. In addition, its quick action and reaction are also reflected in the film. The long melodies of clarinets, violins and cellos function primarily as narratives. I use the strum of the violin to reflect its grasping power and flexible moving pace, and use the combination of harp, using piano and synthesizer to achieve subtle harmony, so as to create a sense of flow and freedom in the water scene. At the end of the film, there is a hunting scene. I use dissonance intervals of piano and harp,vibration of violin and horn to enhance the tension, while using Cor legno of cello to replace drum, which sounds slightly uncomfortable and symbolizes a danger signal.

Car Chasing(Rescore)

This film is from UCLA Animation Workshop. In a dark, damp basement, a dark wizard is performing dark magic. He sewed a bunch of voodoo dolls, which sealed the malice within his heart, and hung them on iron hooks. At this very moment, a doll in the corner woke up and witnessed the brutal act of the wizard. In order to save its companions, it broke free, and did not hesitate to poke needles on itself to counter and wizard. In the end, the doll and the wizard perish together. Design: • The voodoo dolls are made of linen material, so daily supply like underwear and chopsticks is used to show the doll’s movements (e.g. footsteps and rubbings sounds). • Metal like sounds are chosen to highlight the material of the iron hook, needles and the gate. For example, when the wizard is picking up a needle, a harsh metal scratching sound is used to express the cold light of the needle. • I learned basic Russian and designed a monologue to convey the wizard’s performance of dark magic. • Low ambient sound is used to show the gloomy and dim environment of the basement. • Both realistic foley and taiko drum sound are used to highlight the wooden element in the environment • Piano sound with a large sense of space and fused with pad is used to emphasize the damp and dark environment. I also tried to add a flip effect to highlight the tension.

Cooperation With 'Perfect Word Game'Company. In the world of Jade Dynasty exists such a Taoist secret book: Legend has it that one can master infinite power as long as he or she learned the magic within the book, which has drawn war between the Xian Jiao (hero) and the Mo Jiao (villain). At one midnight, in order to steal the secret book from the hand of the heroes, a villain transformed into an evil Chinese lute girl trying to seduce. And a rival here began… Design: • The background of this video is ancient China. Therefore, in terms of musical instruments, Chinese traditional instruments are used mainly, such as Xiao, Pipa, Guzheng and Chinese drum, to bring about the appropriate atmosphere. In the clip, Pipa is multiply used to show its diversified expressiveness. For instance, it does not only show the dancing girl’s posture, but also highlight some intense battle scenes. • In terms of bringing about the atmosphere. National musical instruments and Pad are merged together to enrich the sound effect. • From the aspect of actions like flipping books, putting down cups and clothing frictions, foley is used to intensify the sense of substance. • From the aspect of vocal, laughing sounds and modals are designed and recorded to represent characters’ feelings. • From the aspect of performing magic, commercial sound effect library Boom Library Magic Bundle is used to express the virtual feeling, such as the purple smoke throughout the video.
